"...All my life I've had a choice of hate and love. I chose love and I'm here now...". These are the profound words uttered by the celebrated Bollywood music composer AR Rahman after accepting the 2 Oscar for Best Original Score and Best Original Song.
Many years ago or even as recent as last year, who would have thought someone froam as remote and not as advanced as India to win this year's Oscar and two for that matter. The above words are referring to his humble beginnings (not far from the one shown in the movie Slumdog Millionaire) where his father died when he was 9 pushing him all the time to be one the 'bad' of society. Instead he chose music.
After his music composer father dies, his family rented out musical equipment as a source of income. During these formative years, Rahman served as a keyboard player and an arranger in bands such as "Roots" and later founder of his own rock group called 'Nemesis Avenue'. The talented Rahman played the keyboard and paino, the synthesizer, the harmonium and the guitar. His curiosity in the synthesizer, in particular increased because, he says, it was the “ideal combination of music and technology". His talent earned him a scholarship to the Trinity College, Oxford where he graduated with a degree in Western classical music (yes, you read it right).
For me, after reading what he said, I realise that life is not about having good choices all the time but to make the most of the choices you have, even though they are not the most ideal at that time.
Talking about choices, I couldnt decide between the two replica handbags stores I narrowed down to these 2 choices of websites to shop replica handbags. They are superaaabags.com and qreplicas.com
Maybe, you all can decide for me, please drop me a line here by posting a reply here or those that know me personally, you can email me :) Or maybe, I should take both. Like I said, life is about making the MOST out of the choices I have. I'm doing it, you should too......
